Weather you are a seasoned CrossFitter or have just recently joined your box. The open is a BIG Deal.
Forget about the elite athletes and everything you see on Instagram.
The open is your chance to challenge yourself. To test where you are at right now, gain data and set goals so next year, you can come back and challenge yourself again.
The open is a time to celebrate with your friends, get disgustingly sweaty (not that we don't do that anyway) and hopefully experience some of that "open magic"!
It is (probably) the only time you will be able to compare yourself on a leader board, against people from all over the world.
What makes it even better, is that no matter how your body presents, if you have neurological conditions, one arm, one leg, two legs, no vision etc etc etc - it really doesn't matter....
WheelWod have you covered, so you can throw down against people of similar abilities.
The categories for the Adaptive CrossFit Games have been increased this year and are as follows:
Standing Diagnosed
Upper 1 Point
Upper 2 Point
Lower Minor
Lower Below Knee
Lower Above Knee
Neuromuscular Major
Neuromuscular Moderate
Neuromuscular Minor
Short Stature - 3 subclasses
Vision
Seated 1 - 2 Subclasses
Seated 2 Seated
Quad (Seated 3)
Intellectual Disability with Chromosomal Condition
Intellectual Disability without Chromosomal Condition
How incredible to think of 1000's of people, all over the world, all different ages, abilities and backgrounds - throwing down with the same workouts. Now, that's cool!
To comradery that comes from the open is second to none, you will find yourself in for Friday Night Lights cheering on for people you have never met.
This is CrossFit, it is for EVERYONE, it is community.
If you haven't already, sign up for the open.

See you on the leaderboard.
